SURFACE PREPARATION:Prepare the surface by cleaning and ensure that it is free of dust,oill,grease,grime and loose particles etc. The substrate must be checked for its soundness. Small cracks (3mm or less) should be opened, cleaned & filled with Smartcare Crack Seal. Bigger cracks, damaged portions & hollow areas must be repaired with polymer modified screed.
APPLICATION METHOD
A.HORIZONTAL SURFACE: Apply a self -priming coat of Damp Proof (diluted with water in 3:1 ratio) Apply two perpendicuar coats of damp proof without dilution. Achieve a forced system coverage of 0.93sq.mtr/L. Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours between coats. For best Performance on terraces, ensure that the product is applies on the entire roof including parapet wall.
B.VERTICAL SURFACE- FRESH PAINTING:Apply a self-priming coat of damp proof (diluted with water in 3:1 ratio) Apply a second coat of Damp Proof without dilution. Achieve a forced system coverage of 2.32 sq.mtr/L. Re Painting: On previously Painted surfaces with high quality exterior emusion apply single undiluted coat of Damp Proof with a force coverage of 3.25-3.72sq.mtr/L Top Coat Application: Apply 2 coats of ROYAL Exterior Emulsion of the desired shade.Allow it to dry for 4-6 hours between coats.
PRECAUTIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS: Do not apply during rains or extreme temperatures. Avoid excessive surface abust which would lead to puncturing of the coating film. Corners and joints of drain pipes, channels etc to be treated with cement sand mortar prior to coating application. SmartCare EPDM corners & tapes are recommended to be sued at corners, flashing areas, joints & drain for better reinforcement. Effective on all exterior surfaces like terraces, chajas, vertical wall etc.
HEAT PROOF: This property is applicable for terraces and only for white shade.

- Allow to dry completely, and then rub with emery paper to smoothen the surface
- Apply final coat of primer on the putty’s surface
- Let the primer surface dry in 15 minutes
- Recoat after 2 to 4 hours

- It depends on surface condition / preparation and porosity of the surface.
